- Talk to a Cavernous Maw at any of the following locations:
- Batallia Downs (H-5)
- Rolanberry Fields (H-6)
- Sauromugue Champaign (J-10, NE corner of grid) - use the Garlaige Citadel exit behind the Third Banishing Gate (exits to J-10)
- Note: You must pass through Garlaige Citadel to access this Maw. Do NOT go back in the present and leave the cliff if this is the Maw you exit in the first CS. Go unlock another Maw in the past such as Rolanberry Fields (S) first. Otherwise, you'll have to either open all the gates in Garlaige in the present or get tractored up the cliff to go back into the past again. Do not use Teleport or Warp - both will return you to the present!

[modifier] Using Cavernous Maws
- Upon checking a maw for the first time in Batallia Downs, Sauromugue Champaign, or Rolanberry Fields you will trigger the first mission cutscene. You will obtain a Pure White Feather key item which is your "pass" through the maws.
- A portion of the first mission cutscene may depend on which maw was used to enter the past.
- You can "unlock" other maws in different present time areas by using them in the corresponding past time area.
- When you first enter a maw you will be transported randomly to a maw in Batallia Downs (S), Sauromugue Champaign (S), or Rolanberry Fields (S).
- When you zone into the past the only maw you will be able to use from the current timeline will be the one you exit into the past from.**For example: if you used the maw in Rolanberry Fields and ended up in Sauromugue Champaign (S) you will only be allowed to access the Sauromugue Champaign maw until you unlock other maws.
- Simply put, once you enter the past the first time, you can only re-enter the past via a Maw you have exited the past from.
